Campbell St, Balmain (In Progress)

A heritage-conscious rebuild blending original charm with contemporary openness, nestled into the sandstone bones of Balmain.

This elevated freestanding cottage is being sensitively transformed atop its original sandstone wall. While the front section is carefully retained and restored, the rear gives way to a bold new structure, featuring a full-height glazed façade and wraparound courtyard that embraces the northern light. With a green-hued palette across cladding, tiling, and joinery, the design echoes the lush rhythm of its leafy surrounds.
